The Quiet Within
Not all calm comes from the world around us. Some of it we carry. The Quiet Within is a portrait of that inner stillness: a woman turned gently inward, unhurried and unbothered, holding a peace that doesn’t depend on anything outside her.
Her hair and garment are built up in raised plaster, so soft sculptural ridges rise from the smooth painted surface and catch the light as it shifts through the day. Warm, muted neutrals and gentle curves keep everything soft, while the texture gives her a presence you can almost reach out and touch.
Framed in black cedar, she’s 51" wide, a grounding piece for a living room, dining room, or foyer, anywhere that could use a breath of calm.
51" W × 42" H
Plaster Knit and pastel on wood panel, framed in black cedar (confirm)
