A vigil is a kind of watching that asks nothing in return: you stay awake and stay present, simply out of care. Soft Vigil is a white heron keeping that quiet watch, poised and patient at the water’s edge while everything around her settles into stillness.
Her feathers are drawn in soft pastel over a hand-textured plaster ground, so fine linework meets a surface with real depth. The muted background lets her graceful posture carry the piece.
