Selective Hearing
Flamingos don’t have ears you can see, but this one has made her position clear anyway. Right where the noise would get in, she’s placed a neat panel of mint and white stripes, closed for business. She tucks her beak in, turns her pale blue eye away, and carries on in perfect calm. She heard you. She simply chose not to listen.
The striped panel rises from the surface in raised, ribbed plaster, a crisp graphic note against her soft pastel neck, drawn in strokes of coral, lavender, mint, and gold. Below, her body is built in thick, scalloped Plaster Plume in blush, butter yellow, and lilac, every curl catching the light. Behind her, flat fields of lavender, cream, peach, and a soft yellow sun keep everything airy and modern.
At 30" × 87", framed in painted cedar, Selective Hearing doesn’t need soaring ceilings. Hang her in a stairwell or two-story entry, or simply lean her against the wall like an oversized mirror, on the floor or a low console, for a relaxed, collected look in any room with standard-height ceilings.

Plaster Plume and pastel on wood panel, framed in painted cedar
