Old Soul
The heron has been standing at the water's edge for longer than any of us can remember. Herons are some of the oldest birds alive, an ancient line that has outlasted empires, and this one carries that age lightly. He doesn't hurry, doesn't fuss, and doesn't need to prove anything. He simply knows how to wait. Fine lines trace his form against a weathered, textured ground, like a memory surfacing from stone. Old Soul is for anyone who has ever been told they were born wise, and for the rooms in a home that ask us to slow down and listen.
Plaster and pastel on wood panel. One of a kind.
