Midnight Heron
Long after the shoreline goes quiet, she’s still out there. Some herons do their best fishing by moonlight, standing motionless in the dark water while the rest of the world sleeps. Midnight Heron is that hour: the stillness after everyone else has gone home, and the calm that comes from being completely at ease in the dark.
Her plumage is built in layered pastel strokes of lavender, rose, and pale yellow that seem to glow against the deep, dark ground, like feathers catching the last of the moonlight. Lean in and you’ll see the fine linework that traces each feather, soft and deliberate.
She’s framed in raw cedar that will slowly patina over time, so the frame keeps changing alongside the light in your home. Tall and slim at 20" × 40", she brings a quiet, luminous focal point to a kitchen, foyer, bedroom, or nursery.
20" W × 40" H
Pastel on wood panel, framed in raw cedar
