Lilac Undertow
She’s tipped her head back and closed her eyes, one hand resting at her temple, as if the day has finally let go of her. The surface looks calm, but underneath there’s a pull, the slow undertow of everything she’s carrying, softened just enough to rest.
Her cream and rose-pink hair are built up in thick, hand-combed plaster, ridged and windswept like sea foam. A sage ribbed sweater wraps her shoulders, and a lilac scarf winds through it in soft, wavy strokes. Lean in and you’ll see her face drawn in smooth pastel, with olive, violet and rose shadows and a full pink mouth, the only quiet, flat surface among all that texture.
Set against a deep olive ground, she brings a sense of stillness to a bedroom, a reading corner, or a wall where you’d want to pause and exhale.
