Hounds: It will end in Treats
He’s been waiting by the door all morning, ears half-raised, eyes fixed on whoever might walk through it next. He doesn’t bark. He just looks at you like you’re the best news he’s had all day, and he wore his good turquoise sweater for the occasion, its ribbed rows and ruffled collar sculpted in hand-combed plaster.
Lean in and you’ll see his scruffy coat drawn strand by strand in rainbow pastel, with rose, mint, gold and sky tangled in the brown, and a pair of glossy eyes catching the light. The smooth sage ground lets the thick turquoise knit stand out from the panel, so the sweater looks soft enough to touch.
He’s at home in a cozy reading nook, a mudroom, or anywhere you’d want a loyal friend watching over you. He pairs naturally with Hounds: Here Comes Your Man and Hounds: Waiting to be Called.
